Excel Converter can be installed through a Windows installer package. During the installation there are a number of installation options described below.
The .NET framework is required to run the application and will be added as a mandatory option to the installation in case it cannot be found on the system.
There are a number of reasons why the installation for the .NET framework might fail. If this happens, it is possible to proceed with the installation of Excel Converter and manually download and install the .NET framework 4.6 afterwards.
Installing the .NET framework manually will provide information on the additional requirements needed before the .NET framework 4.6 framework can be installed.
If the ‘command line interface (CLI) support’ option is selected this will set the installation path in the PATH environmental variable to easily find and execute the application from anywhere on the system. This is optional and can be disabled during the installation.
With version 2.x of Excel Converter, both options are included in the same installer. The installer will automatically install the appropriate version depending on the system it is installed to.
With version 1.x the installer needs to be selected depending on your operating system architecture and your Microsoft Office installation (if present) and/or Access Database Engine (ACE) Redistributable.
